APRIL 9, 2019 PROGRAM:  When Republicans Were Progressive (offsite at 317 on Rice)

Dave Durenberger and Lori Sturdevant will share the story of a Republican Party very different than the one Americans know today. It's the Minnesota Republican Party of 1938-1995 -- a party so willing to stand apart from its national counterpart and chart its own course that for 20 years, it called itself the Independent-Republican Party. They'll describe the characters and characteristics that made that party distinctive, and point to some changes in today's electoral system that might bring a like-minded political force back to Minnesota ballots.

It is my pleasure to spotlight one of our new members, Dave Wolfgram. His sponsor is Ken Crabb, M.D. He is married to Becky and has two children Chelsea and Celab and 3 grandchildren. Dave is a Professional Engineer obtaining his BS in Mining Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and then earning a MBA from Southern Illinois University- Edwardsville. He is a Principle at Terracon and the office manager of the St Paul office. Terracon provides environmental, geotechnical and materials engineering services.  Dave has done extensive projects in the assessment and remediation of environmental contaminants. His managerial duties now include business development, resource allocation as well as technical review and giving direction and management to major projects.
Please welcome Dave into our Club.
