President Jerry Faletti called the meeting to order at 12:15 p.m. about the good ship Jonathan Padelford for our annual club meeting on the mighty Mississippi. Original acoustic music was provided by Ben Rogue and Ed Coleman. Applause was offered to the weather gods for giving us such a perfect sailing day!

Song leader Dick Nicholson led members in a fine a cappella rendition of “My Country Tis of Thee.”
Jim Miller offered the short poem “Fish Out of Water” by Lewis Jenkins as our inspirational moment.
Corey Edmunds enthusiastically introduced visiting Rotarians (one from Lincoln, NE!) and Guests.
He also collected Happy Dollars from:
  • Scott Van – Cleveland Circle Planting and Drinks at Camp Bar. Many hands make light work!
  • Linda Mulhern – her daughter snuck into the graduation from her Finnish High School to see her old friends from Rotary Exchange.
  • Randy Kroll – after wandering the highways and byways, he’s happy to be back in Saint Paul and back at the meetings.
  • Jon Kupris – His daughter Katie graduated from Como Park High School
  • Corey Edmunds – his daughter graduated from St. Scholastica. AND the date has been set for the Rotary Holiday Party: Dec 6 at the Intercontinental. Save the date!
  • Michael-jon Pease – Meghan Johannsen and he marched with the University Club of St Paul Croquet Team in the Grand Ol’ Day Parade (first time the team was in the parade) and took “Pick of the Parade!” Also, you will see a special invite to join fellow Rotarians at Park Square on July 19 to see Ken Ludwig’s Baskerville, A Sherlock Holmes Mystery.
  • Captain Jim Kosmo – He’s old enough to have grand-daughters graduating from college. This happy dollar is for Katie, graduating from Winona State to be a teacher.
President’s Remarks:
Thanks to today’s greeters, Deb Katzmark (with assistance from husband Jack) and Sarah Kolar, and to scribe Michael-jon Pease.
Join us next week to learn about the Security and Accuracy of Minnesota Elections with speaker Joe Manskey, Ramsey County Election Judge.
The meeting was joyfully adjourned for fellowship on the water with a nice breeze and plenty of sunshine.
Respectfully submitted,
Michael-jon Pease, Park Square Theatre
