For a hot time in Minnesota Lakes Country, join your fun loving friends for the Goodwill Weekend, September 13-14.  Winnipeg Rotary (established in 1910) is the club that made Rotary international.

The Goodwill Weekend (first held at Minneapolis in 1924) was moved to Winnipeg in 1925, and continued until 2012.  For 2013 Goodwill will gather Rotarians (and their friends) from Central Canada, Minnesota, the Dakotas and Kinston, North Carolina(!) at Detroit Lakes, MN.  Our hosts promise that the 88th meeting will continue the tradition of great fun, excellent food and outstanding hospitality.

Highlights (besides the new setting and summer weather) include great workshops (Nonviolent Peaceforce will show how civilians avoid violence, protect vulnerable groups and save lives.)  Add opportunities for golf, bicycling and fishing.  (Not a curling rink in sight!)  Celebrate Rotary International.  Be part of one of Rotary’s oldest traditions.  Register at “Peace and Goodwill Weekend.”  (http://www.clubrunner.ca/Portal/Home.aspx?accountid=1304)

Fun with Rotarians, isn’t that why we joined?  You don’t have to be a Rotarian to do any of these things, but you must be present to win.  This year in Detroit Lakes!
