For our club, Rotation Day is an event which brings us back to our “roots” and gives us the opportunity to gain new insights into the vocational challenges and business issues which are unique to our fellow Rotarians.  Members had the opportunity to visit one of three member businesses.  Episcopal Homes (host: Shelly Rucks), Park Square Theatre (host: Michael-jon Pease) or Seven Corners Printing (host: Ed Coleman)

ImageEpiscopal Homes:  What has long been known as Episcopal Homes of Minnesota was originally a single residence known simply as “The Church Home.” It was founded in 1894 by Sister Annette Relf, a nurse and Minnesota’s first Episcopal Deaconess.  Presbyterian homes was the first facility in Minnesota to offer the Green House (where you live and thrive, not go to die) model of skilled care.  Pictured touring the facilities are (left-right) Claude Hone, Ginny Stockwell and Darrell Butterwick.

ImagePark Square Theatre:  After enjoying a delicious lunch catered by the Saint Paul Hotel in the Richard and Nancy Nicholson Lobby of Park Square’s Proscenium Theatre, members toured the construction site of the soon-to-be completed Andy Boss Thrust Stage and learned about the programming for the new 2-stage Park Square Theatre.  The new Andy Boss Thrust Stage puts theatre goers in the intimate embrace of 200 seats wrapped around this town’s top talent.

ImageSeven Corners Printing:  Members who attended Rotation Day at Seven Corners Printing enjoyed lunch and learned about a company that has been a part of Saint Paul for over 100 years.  Following lunch they got a tour that included their sheet fed and screen printing operation.
