The present economic conditions have impacted all of us. The Saint Paul Rotary Foundation Board has become aware that there are some members of Saint Paul Rotary who are having a difficult time paying dues.

The Foundation Board recognizes that the success of the Foundation’s services to our community and the world is highly dependent on a strong, engaged Club membership. Therefore the Foundation Board has authorized the use of a Benevolence Fund to assist active members who have been impacted by the economy or other conditions in ways that may threaten their continued membership.

A few generous members have given us a limited number of dollars which are available to temporarily help membership meet the criteria listed below and who wish to apply for the funds.

1.  Provide evidence of financial hardship in one or more of the following ways.
     a.  Lost job
     b.  Income reduction
     c.  Changed jobs
     d.  Unusual current expenses
     e.  Start up business

2.  You have had involvement in one or more of the projects supported by the Saint Paul Rotary Foundation (Camp RYLA, Youth Exchange, World Community Service, Cleveland Circle or others)

3.  You have been a member of Saint Paul Rotary for at least a year.

4.  You must have paid the initiation fee and dues for your first full year of membership.

5.  Identify the dollar amount of assistance you require for dues.

Maximum possible assistance for any one member is $1,000.  However, the Foundation Board may consider reapplication by an individual member in the future.  The dollars are available for dues only.

If you would like to make application to the Benevolence Fund, please identify how you meet the following criteria and send the information along with your name email address, phone and fax numbers, and your desired mailing address to Al Zdrazil, President of the Saint Paul Rotary Foundation. The Saint Paul Rotary Foundation Board will consider your application along with the others that are submitted and award grants. Please respond by whatever medium suits you the best.
