Our speaker, Bill Foussard, is an east metro business leader who has been active in the Carnival for many years.

Foussard has been in the hotel business since 1975 purchasing his first hotel, the Best Western Americanna Inn in St. Cloud. In 2000 he purchased the White Bear Country Inn in White Bear Lake and in 2003 he gutted the restaurant and, working with Axels, opened Rudy’s Redeye Grill.

Bill promotes the Saint Paul area at every opportunity. He chairs the “Explore White Bear,” a volunteer group promoting the greater White Bear area. He is on the board of the White Bear Lake Marketfest and chair of White Bear Events/Manitou Days organizations, the Board of the St. Paul Area Chamber of Commerce and board of St. Thomas Academy. In 2009, he was Chair of the 2009 White Bear Lake Governor’s Fishing Opener.

A 2008 King Boreas of the Carnival, his father, Henri, was Boreas Rex in 1963. His godfather, Walter Dorle reigned in 1954. His uncle, Roger, was Prime Minister in 1957.
