The children and grandchildren of Rotarians filled the Crowne Plaza ballroom to enjoy a performance by "The Amazing Jeffo -- not your typical blind magician."

John Chandler greeted guests as they arrived for Rotary on this sunny and warm (for December) day .

President Doug Bruce called the meeting to order.  Jerry Faletti led the singing of God Bless America accompanied by Bob Jones on the piano.  Tom Brinsko gave the invocation and Sue Cammack circled the room to introduce the many guests in attendance for Children & Grandchildren Day.  Carla Hauge collected Happy Dollars.

ImageJohn Guthmann introduced "The Amazing Jeffo" who shared his personal passion and awareness of the power of attitude in overcoming challenges.  Jeff Smith is blind and suffering from rheumatoid arthritis but showed his audience that humor and attitude can overcome disabilities.  Knowing that people can sometimes be uncomfortable around persons with disabilities, he uses humor as a teaching tool to correct negative, stereo-typical attitudes.

During his performance Jeffo recruited volunteers from the audience to assist him in his performance including Rotarians Joe Kovarik, Tom Farnham and Vicki Gee-Treft and many of the younger ones in attendance.
