St. Paul-headquartered PolyMet Mining is proposing to build and operate the state’s first copper-nickel and precious metals mine near Hoyt Lakes in northeastern Minnesota.   Brad Moore, PolyMet’s executive vice president of environmental and governmental affairs, will share how this project will put hundreds of people to work, its economic benefit to the state and the critical role these metals play in our lives. He’ll also share the steps the company is taking to safeguard the environment and provide a status of the comprehensive environmental review and permitting process the project is going through.

  
 

Moore joined PolyMet Mining in 2011, assuming overall responsibility for the NorthMet project’s environmental review and permitting process, as well as its governmental and regulatory relations. He is also a member of the senior executive leadership team, contributing to the overall strategic direction of the company.

With more than 25 years of experience in regulatory and government relations, Brad has worked for a number of state agencies, including the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and the Minnesota Department of Commerce. Prior to joining PolyMet, he was senior advisor in public and governmental affairs at Barr Engineering, where he advised several companies, including PolyMet, on environmental strategy.

Brad holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn., and a Master of Arts degree in public affairs from the Humphrey School of Public & Affairs at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.Jenny Knudson joined PolyMet Mining in 2012 as vice president of investor relations. In this position, she represents PolyMet at investor events, identifies and contacts interested shareholders, and works with 
PolyMet CFO Douglas Newby on developing a corporate profile.

ImageJenny Knudson began her career in the financial industry in 2005 as a marketing and inside sales representative at Northwestern Mutual, Minneapolis-based insurance and wealth management firm. She quickly advanced to an associate financial advisor and then a client account manager. She is the co-creator of a successful wealth management firm in Minneapolis which was recognized as a 2012 Five Star Wealth Manager, a select group representing less than 4 percent of the wealth managers in the Twin Cities area.

 

Jenny earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in public relations from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minn., and holds her Series 6 & 63 securities license.
