Dr. Charles Briscoe has been an educator for 38 years and a principal for 25 in both the public and private school systems. He is currently the principal of St. Paul Preparatory School, an international private college preparatory high school right here in downtown St. Paul. He will speak about the unique environment of St. Paul Prep and their mission to prepare students for success in a global society.

Dr. Briscoe has served as a public school educator for 38 years including 25 years as a high school principal.  He opened Rochester Century High School in 1997 and retired from there in 2011 to catch his breath.  After about a two day retirement he joined the team at St. Paul Preparatory School.  They are a small international college prep high school that opened in 2003 with twenty-three students.  They now have 215 students on their campus in the Cray Plaza in downtown St. Paul with nine other affiliated high schools around the world.

Students come from thirty-two countries and live with host families during their stay.  The goal for students is to strengthen their English skills to be prepared to enter a university and to become global citizens. This is a great high school that is a well-kept secret.  They are working hard to make connections in the downtown area to facilitate life-changing opportunities for their students, particularly in the areas of community service and internships.
