Minnesota's Moment in the Sun

Dan Hartman, Director, Glensheen, the Historic Congdon Estate, a department of the University of Minnesota Duluth will present on Minnesota's Moment in the Sun. For most Minnesotans, the Mesabi Iron Range is a place they may have heard of in name only. Or maybe they watched "North Country". But most have no idea how important it was and is to the State's history. How many know that such names as Rockefeller, Carnegie and Morgan all collided at the Mesabi? Even less well known is how Chester Congdon of Glensheen was in the middle of it all.
